CostaCycling - Near Alicante
CostaCycling is situated in Southern Spain in the foothills of the Sierra Albatera. Albatera is only 20 minutes west of Alicante Airport, and 30 minutes from the warm Costa Blanca coast. Cyclists and triathletes come to CostaCycling for warm weather winter training at their own personal training camp.
With Alicante Airport only 20 minutes away, you can be 'on the road' in no time. No need to worry about taxis - we collect you from the airport, all included!
Cycle in the Sun
CostaCycling is only a few hours away from the colder northern European countries, and carefully planned budget airline flights mean you could be 'riding in the sun' several times a year for very little outlay!
Blue skies and beautiful views in ideal cycling country. Don't let your local weather and traffic spoil your winter training: come to CostaCycling!
Meals and Catering
CostaCycling catering is looked after by Paul's wife Adelina. Cycle-friendly home-cooked meals from local markets. Breakfast normally consists of fruit, cereals and toast; and the evening meal of salad, pasta/roast and fruit.
All guests with laptops and iPhones etc have free access to our Wireless Broadband - so no need to incur those outrageous roaming charges!
Packed lunches are available at reasonable cost, consisting of sandwich roll, banana, muesli bar and cake. We can also cater for cyclists with special dietary needs such as low-fat.
Cycle helmets are compulsory in Spain so please remember to bring one. The law is not heavily enforced, so riding up a mountain road in the sun with the helmet over the 'bars is no problem... but best put it back on for the fast descents!
Since March 2010 we now have a Velodrome in Crevillente. This new 330m track is only 5km from CostaCycling.
We have Sky TV, including Eurosport. There is also free access to a treadmill, rowing machine and misc fitness equipment.

Local Hondon Climb on YouTube
Paul has filmed the Albatera to Hondon climb from a car - to help guests anticipate the pleasure of this 11 km climb on a bike. See it on YouTube here: http://youtu.be/-SojOd_pioA
With the increasing usage of Strava as a Training Aid then why not tackle some of the local segments many of which are on testing climbs and see if you can take the KOMs from the Spanish riders.

Travel light and hire a bike here. Nearby Cyclogical has now extended their hire service to include road bikes (MTBs also available). Book early, direct with Gary at Cyclogical.
Bicicosta's 3 full-time mechanics cover Road, MTB and Triathlon, and are open until 9pm - very useful if anyone has bike problems after a day's ride.
