CostaCycling - Near Alicante
CostaCycling is situated in Southern Spain in the foothills of the Sierra Albatera. Albatera is only 20 minutes west of Alicante Airport, and 30 minutes from the warm Costa Blanca coast. Cyclists and triathletes come to CostaCycling for warm weather winter training at their own personal training camp.
Airport Transfers
With Alicante Airport only 20 minutes away, you can be 'on the road' in no time. No need to worry about taxis - we collect you from the airport, all included!
Packed Lunches
Packed lunches are available at reasonable cost, consisting of sandwich roll, banana, muesli bar and cake. We can also cater for cyclists with special dietary needs such as low-fat.
Meals and Catering
The catering side of CostaCycling is looked after by Paul's wife Adelina. The emphasis is on 'cycle-friendly' meals after those long days in the saddle, supplying home-cooked meals from the ample local produce available in daily markets. Breakfast normally consists of fruit, cereals and toast; and the evening meal of salad, pasta/roast and fruit.
Rental, Repairs and Tools
We have tools at costacycling for most eventualities - but nearby Scottish-run Cyclogical is a great back-up shop and repair service. And if you want to rest your road bike for a day, why not hire an MTB for a change of scene? Road bikes also now available for hire. Book direct with Gary at Cyclogical.
Cycle in the Sun
CostaCycling is only a few hours away from the colder northern European countries, and carefully planned budget airline flights mean you could be 'riding in the sun' several times a year for very little outlay!
Wireless Broadband
All guests with laptops and iPhones etc have free access to our Wireless Broadband - so no need to incur those outrageous roaming charges!

Cycle Helmets
Cycle helmets are compulsory in Spain so please remember to bring one. The law is not heavily enforced, so riding up a mountain road in the sun with the helmet over the 'bars is no problem... but best put it back on for the fast descents! (NOTE: This is just a personal view of our webmaster and does not constitute legal advice!).

Since March 2010 we now have a new 330m Velodrome in Crevillente - only 5km from CostaCycling.
